Common Questions about Vacation Rental Homes

How do I book a home?

Booking a villa is easy!  You can either book directly on this website by using the "check availability box" to the left, or you can call our office at +1.809.571.1190, and one of our friendly booking agents will happy to assist you.
Is booking online secure?
Yes!  We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway provider’s database. It will only be accessible by those authorized with special rights to such systems. They are legally required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.
How far is the airport?
The Puerto Plata airport is 15-minutes from Casa Linda.  We are happy to arrange transportation to and from the airport (cost is $30 US each way).
What are the benefits of renting a whole vacation villa as opposed to staying in a resort?
Privacy.  You have your own pool, and your own space which includes a secluded yard, well stocked kitchen, BBQ, comfortable bedrooms, private baths and great onsite services.  We believe our villas are homes away from home – there are no cramped hotel spaces here.
No line ups, no waiting for services or amenities.  You’ll never line up for a meal at Casa Linda – just walk up to our restaurant or order a chef to come cook for you!  Your lounge chair is just yours to use for the duration of your stay with us.  We also offer lower priced excursions and priority service.

Is Casa Linda secure?
Yes, security is of utmost importance to us and Casa Linda is a gated community. We have a 24-hour security team that protects our owners, renters, and their belongings. We are one of the most secure developments on the north coast.

Is there a hospital nearby?
The brand new, Cabarete Medical Centre, is less than 5-minutes away. Emergency services can be called by our front gate security staff.  This hospital takes most health benefit plans and travel insurance.

How close is the beach?
We are located close to several beaches:
  • Sosua Beach features calm, crystal clear waters, shops and restaurants, and is 5-minute drive from Casa Linda.  Our shuttle bus service will take you there and back several times per day.
  • Playa Alicia is a small beach in the town of Sosua.  It has no onsite services but is very close to restaurants
  • Cabarete Beach is our kite boarding and wind surfing Mecca.  Our shuttle bus will take you to this hotspot several times per day.  Enjoy this huge beach, excellent restaurants and great shopping.
What about shopping and groceries?
Sosua is only 5-minutes away and features two large grocery stores that carry North American and European brands.  Each have bank machines that dispense Dominican Pesos.  Your home country bank card should work well.  Casa Linda also provides and in-villa grocery service.  Please ask when you book.
Shopping for souvenirs, clothes, etc. can be done in both the towns of Sosua and Cabarete.  For larger, big box type shopping, La Sirena is Puerto Plata is great option.  Ask at the front desk for directions or transportation.
How do I book excursions?

Taxi service?

Are there good restaurants?
Yes!  We can suggest several great restaurants both on the beach and off.  We even can offer you a coupon or two!

Historically most tropical storm/hurricane activity in the Dominican Republic's part of the Caribbean has taken place in the months of August and September.  There has never been a recorded hurricane on the north coast.
